I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
